Southern United Youth Trials Get Underway

Southern United Youth Team hopefuls turned out on a picturesque day at Tahuna Park on Saturday to show their wares ahead of the upcoming 2016 season.

Around 40 trialists came from throughout the region to give it their all in front of new Southern United Youth Coach and former All White Graham Marshall. Plenty of high quality football was played across four 30 minute quarters leaving Graham and fellow selector Neil McKenzie quietly optimistic about the season ahead.

The next get together for the group will be a skill based session at Kaikorai Valley College on Tuesday September 13th from 5:00-6:30pm before the second trial at Tahuna Park on Saturday September 17th from 10:30am-1:00pm. With the selectors sitting down to make a decision on their squad next week, Saturday will be the final chance for any players wishing to make an impression.

Any prospective players wanting an opportunity to trial can still register their interest for this Saturday here.
